When deciding upon which artist's album cover that I wanted to re-design, I decided to chose an artist that my Dad had listened to during his childhood and an artist that had their own sense of branding. The first artist that came to mind was a Funk artist by the name of Bootsy Collins, due to his iconic star guitar, star shades, and colorful suit. For inspiration for this cover, I compiled all of his previous album covers and iconic photos that I could find. I chose the Bellbottom font for the words and bright color scheme, as these were commonly attributed the years revolving around Collins' primetime.
