One of my passions is to highlight and advocate for minorities in various capacities, so I designed a publication highlighting various minority students on my college campus.
The Process:
I first began brainstorming who I could include in this publication. Not only did I want to include those from various racial backgrounds, but also those of different religions, ethnicities, and genders as well. After creating my list of individuals, I photographed them in different environments that were able to highlight their appearance or personality.

I then created and sent out a 10 question questionnaire to each model for them to answer. These questions asked general information about the individuals and what they're involved in at TCU, as well as some questions about diversity on their campus. I also asked models to create a headline for themselves that represents them as a person, draw doodles, and draw their signature in order to add more of a personal touch to their spreads in the publication.

These elements, in combination with font choices, color choices, and photographs, were hand-picked to make the publication more approachable as well as engaging for all who come across it.
